Premium Print Finishes
Tipografia Piemonte offers thermographic and hot foil printing to add elegance and sophistication to your printed materials. They provide unique visual and tactile effects.
Thermography
Thermography involves creating raised images on printed materials through the application of heat.
The process involves the hot application of thermoplastic powder to freshly inked areas, which then melts and forms a coating over the ink, later polymerised through the cooling action.
In this way, thermography not only adds a tactile element (the raised texture) but also achieves changing optical effects, such as transparent, pearlescent, metallic, fluorescent, and glitter finishes.

Hot Foil Stamping
This type of printing is capable of adding brilliance and metallic effects that maintain their shine over time.
Hot stamping is achieved using a magnesium or copper plate, which is fixed onto a heated platen. A thin foil sheet is placed between the material to be printed and the plate. When the plate presses against the material, the heat causes the dye layer of the foil to detach and apply itself to the surface.
Tipografia Piemonte offers a wide variety of foils, allowing the creation of a diverse range of effects. Hot foil stamping also allows for micro-engraving, enabling the creation of even more exclusive designs.
